1) Advanced (bio)technologies for the production of added value biomaterials, bioplastics and biofuels from lignocellulosics and industrial wastes.
2) Environmental technologies for water treatment and remediation of pollutants from the primary industries.
3) Translating fundamental science concepts into commercial opportunities through integrated, multidisciplinary, R&D&C and investment partnerships.

Dr. Stuthridge is the Group Leader of the science area for Sustainable Design. He is currently involved with developing innovative environmental and industrial (bio)technologies, with a particular emphasis on value creation from industrial wastes and residues.
